Vintage Briefcase Wednesday

This handsome briefcase hails from the VGH Thrift store on Broadway.  It’s fully used (and loved) but is well made to the extent that I don’t worry that it will fall apart.  On a bus.  Crowded.  Rush hour.

I’ve absolutely zero need for a briefcase in my current job, or any former job really, but I had to buy it.  I have a feeling it belonged to a slightly-disheveled little man who used to fall asleep on the subway ride home after work.  At night, his daughter dragged the briefcase around when playing house and pretending to go off to her “real estate developer job”.  Either him or a professional sumo wrestler who moonlighted as a casino manager.
