The Room’s Official Opening Party at The Bay – Vancouver

On October 13th, my girls, Simon and I attended The Room’s Official Opening party in Vancouver (thanks for guest listing us, V).  Greeted by a male model in a white tux at every turn, the new space at the Bay was teeming with very good looking people who care about fashion.

We mostly took pictures of ourselves, didn’t mingle with anybody and gladly accepted every champagne refill offered.  Here’s what we looked like.

(Heather Merenda, Tomica Divic, Klaudija Divic, Jacqueline Nguyen, Laurelle Miciak, Tarah Ferguson, me)

The designers carried by The Room are quite impressive, from Mary Katrantzou and Erdem to Balmain and Roland Mouret.  Each piece more stunning than the previous one.  But my most memorable sight was when a mid-aged heavy-set man standing incongruously with his stick-thin young beauty said to me in the shoe section “I’m only here to pay”.

Update: Photos of the night were also captured by Phillip Chin and George Pimentel for Fashion Magazine.   Jackie and I made the cut here.

it’s not like anyone can… so don’t feel bad. If it’s any consolation i got new tighter ones in van before i left and made them…Corts?

So you got rid of the cords from The Gap? Are the tight corts brown too? If you wear them with an oversized hand-me-down hoodie, you can totally maintain the overall Monday outfit effect. There’s a science but I trust you’re on top of it.
